We will keep this page updated as frequently as possible with any changes and new developments.
The safety and well-being of our guests is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Department of State, and any new travel restrictions from individual countries.
Tours for 2022 will proceed. We will be vigilant with any changes to government mandates and health policies. We will try to make a decision on whether or not to cancel a trip at least 45 days before the departure date as we assess how the situation changes in the next days and weeks. Please know that we have never hesitated to cancel departures when that decision was paramount for the safety of our guests and have worked tirelessly to recover their full travel investment should the need arise.
The following are a few common questions and answers:
What happens if Yahnny Bly & Co. cancels my trip because of COVID-19 travel restrictions?
You can choose between the following options:
- Transfer to another departure;
- 100% credit to use towards a future trip departing on or before December 31, 2023, less the planning fee for Yahnny Bly & Co. and fees by hotels or local service providers that we are unable to waive;
- A full refund of your trip costs, less the planning fee for Yahnny Bly & Co. and fees by hotels or local service providers that we are unable to waive. We will use good faith efforts to recover and refund as much money as possible in light of these circumstances.
Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for other expenses incurred like visa fees, inoculations, travel equipment, etc.
What if my departure is canceled and I have already paid for my airfare?
For airfare that was booked privately, please consult your travel insurance company, airline, or credit card company to review options may be available to you. Many airlines have introduced new policies that allow you to cancel your flight and convert to a travel credit. For airfare booked with Yahnny Bly & Co., we will assist you with changes and cancellations.

• U.S. State Department Travel Advisories
What should I do if I'm booked on a trip but I'm not sure if I should travel?
We understand that these are uncertain times, and have introduced more flexible cancellation policies for every trip to give you peace of mind and more time to cancel a trip without penalty as we monitor how this situation evolves.
If you are unsure whether to travel due to health concerns, we recommend you consult with your physician. We also highly recommend purchasing CFAR (Cancel for any Reason) insurance.
Ultimately, if we do not cancel a trip, the decision to travel is up to you.
If I book a new trip, what are your updated cancellation and transfer policies?
In order to give you peace of mind during this time, we have worked diligently with our partners around the world over the past weeks to offer an even more flexible cancellation policy.
Updated cancellation and transfer policies apply to trips booked through December 31, 2022. Any bookings starting January 01, 2023 and beyond will apply the standard Terms & Conditions unless otherwise noted due to the most current COVID-19 regulations stated at that time.
Certain Special Events, Private Journeys, and boat-based journeys may have a different policy.
